A mid-century inspired 3D typeface that casts soft shadows and mimics some iconic architecture and furniture.
Inspired by mid-century masters like Frank Lloyd Wright, Ray Eames, George Nelson, Antonio Gaudí, the Koro typeface was created to reflect the organic and fluid contours emblematic of their work.
Base Font: ITC Avant Garde
Features: 3D Animation, Color and Shadow Options
The typeface includes plenty of glyphs for multi language support. Stylistic ligatures add a unique twist to the simple and clean letters.
Each character was carefully shaped and rendered to mimic natural lighting and shadow contrast.
Creating the Koro typeface was a fun way to combine my passion for typography, 3D design, and mid-century modern furniture. While keeping the overall aesthetics clean and simple, I was able to add specific details to achieve an organic and textured look. I also increased my skill with Blender to create the typeface's unique shadow animation. The final result was exactly what I envisioned.
